What is Muze?

How do I get started?
If you need help setting up an account or using any of Muze’s features, please see our comprehensive tutorials.
How does Muze work for in-person music lessons?
Using Muze for an in-person lesson creates a streamlined system for your music studio organization. Simply add your lesson notes, download, search and easily access your music files, create video clips, and use the embedded tuner and metronome all on the Muze platform just like you would in a virtual music lesson.

Muze offers two-way video for music teachers and students, plus all of the tools you need to have a superior music lesson experience online with the use of your computer or tablet.

For now virtual music lessons are only one on one, but we plan to expand features as soon as we can! You can always use Muze in a group setting with in-person lessons.
I'm a student, and I can’t make it to my lesson! How do I reschedule?
You will have to contact your music teacher to arrange a new time to meet for your lesson.
I'm a teacher, and I can’t make it to my lesson! How do I reschedule?
If you need to reschedule a lesson, you will need to first cancel the lesson and then create a new one at the correct time. To cancel a lesson, you can delete it by clicking the trash can or X in the lesson list. Muze will automatically send an email to the student when you schedule the new lesson.

Accounts & Subscriptions

What’s the difference between a teacher and a student account?
A teacher account requires a paid subscription. Teachers can create and schedule lessons, use visual cues, and store and share clips from their digital library.
Student accounts are always free, and require an invitation from a teacher. Both students and teachers can use the built-in tuner and metronome and record clips.
Do students need a subscription?
Muze is always free for students. All you need to set up a student account is an email address and an invitation from your teacher.
Do I need a credit card to create a teacher account?
When you first create an account, you will be started with a 21-day free trial. When the trial ends you will need a credit card to continue using Muze with a paid subscription.
